Born in Philadelphia on October 2, 1924, he was a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Harteneck) Schwarz.
Jacob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are three children, Jerry Schwarz, Sandy Stoltz and Kathy Palladino; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Schwarz and one granddaughter.
Services for Jacob are private and at the convenience of the family. Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, Reading is entrusted with the arrangements.
