James Alvin Dietrich, 81, of Exeter Twp., passed away in the Manor Care, Laureldale, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Born on December 7, 1933, he was a son of the late Walter E. and Ann M. (Froelich) Dietrich.
He was a graduate of Oley High School, Class of 1951, and of Norwich University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1955. He joined the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He then was employed for several years as an engineer for a Philadelphia firm.
James is survived by a sister, Dorothy D. Shiver; a niece, Barbara A. Shiver; and two nephews, Blaine W. Shiver and Michael F. Shiver.
