Born in West Grove, he was the husband of Anne L. (Gilbert) Flowers.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Reading.
He was a loving husband, father and Pop-Pop.
He was employed in the Reading area as a baker for 32 years. He also delivered the Reading Eagle for 16 years and last worked in maintenance at the Peanut Bar for the last three years.
Surviving are sons, James A. Flowers Jr., Reading; and Anthony, husband of Julie N. Flowers, Sinking Spring; and two daughters, Ann L., wife of Joseph J. DeCisco, Temple; and Terri L., wife of Ronald L. Jacobs Jr., Reading.
There are also grandchildren Michael J. and Angeline R. DeCisco and Kaitlyn N. Flowers, all at home; and a brother-in-law, Terry W. Royce, Reading.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
