Born on January 18, 1938 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Alice M. (Epler) DeLong.
Surviving are two sons: Charles F. Reed, Jr. and John F. Reed; three daughters: Elaine M. Mitchell, Janet M. Reed and Jamie M. Brango; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren with twins on the way.
Also surviving are two sisters: Elizabeth R. Hartman and Joanne M. Walker.
Janet is predeceased by a brother, Robert DeLong and a sister, Barbara Glass.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday at the Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:30 until the time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
