Karen Ann Curtier, age 70, formerly of Reading, peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, September 7, 2020, at Laurel Center, Hamburg. Born May 28, 1950 in Reading, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas Curtier and Louise (Henninger) Curtier Iannuzzo.
Karen held many jobs throughout her life, including but not limited to; nurse’s aide at Berks Heim and as a machine operator at a knitting mill.
Karen was a proud Christian woman who loved Jesus Christ and she knew she would be received into his loving arms. She was a very giving person, and was thankful for what God blessed her with.The most precious gift she gave were her children, even in her poverty, she was gracious, humble, loving, giving, and always thankful. However, above all else she absolutely treasured her family.
Karen's spirit will be carried on by 3 daughters Lisa (Ott) Scheffler, of Kutztown; Tisha Ott, of Wellsboro, PA; Janelle (Ott) Keith, of Orangeburg, SC; 2 brothers Thomas H. Curtier and his wife Terri, of Maryland and Michael L. Curtier. Karen also leaves behind 8 grandchildren; Marena Scheffler, Julia Scheffler, Amelia Scheffler, George Scheffler, Elliot Scheffler, Zachary Ott, Austin Ott, Hailey Keith, 2 great grandchildren Giovanni Ott and Dominic Ott to cherish her memory.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Auman's Inc. Funeral home, Reiffton. An inurnment will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.
