Lashana Sherri Miranda-Williams,42, of Spring Township, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Reading Hospital - Tower Health. Born May 9, 1979 in Reading, PA she was a beloved daughter to Wilfredo Miranda Sr. and the late Linda Fay (Davis) Miranda. In addition to her mother Linda, Lashana was greeted in heaven by her daughter Uriahs Williams and her brother Raymond Dionel Miranda.
Lashana's spirit will be carried on by her father Wilfredo Sr.; her husband Charles J. Williams; her 4 children Chilez Miranda, Charliz Williams, Charles Williams, Charlos Williams; her sister Shima Miranda and her partner Frederick Alston and her brother Wilfredo Miranda Jr. and his wife Brenda. Lashana also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memory.
Lashana was blessed in many ways, her deepest-held values were family, education and God; with her greatest achievement being a loving mother to her children. She was also very proud of starting R&R Miranda, LLC., in remembrance of her brother, Raymond.
Lashana was the true definition of a lifelong learner. She earned 2 Masters degrees and a Doctorate degree in Behavioral Health. A professor of Social Sciences for over 10 years, she taught at Reading Area Community College, Alvernia University and closely worked with special needs individuals as an independent behavioral specialist.
A woman of God, Lashana felt a strong spiritual connection through praise and worship. She was a member of God's Worship & Praise Temple of Spirit & Truth Ministries, Reading; where she dedicated time to community out reach, especially with NAMI - Berks County; a mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for people affected by mental illness.
Lashana was a talented singer, gifted writer, and an amazing example to everyone she touched. Her interests were as varied and abundant as was her larger-than-life smile and personality. She will fondly be remembered for being a hard worker and for her beautiful, kind and generous heart; her generosity knew no limits. She will be greatly missed.
Prayer services for Lashana will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at God's Worship & Praise Temple of Spirit & Truth Ministries, 459 Schuylkill Ave., Reading, PA 19601. A final viewing will occur from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601.
