Lynetta Ardith Stewart-Jones

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Melvyn and Gertrude (Pegram) Jones and also her late mother who raised her Mildred Mayo.

She was a graduate of Reading High School and was an Army veteran, having served from December 1980 until being discharged on September 16, 1983.

She was employed with David Crystal of Reading and then worked at both Wal-Mart and Chick-Fil-A in Wyomissing. She lastly proudly served as a volunteer with the AARP Foundation in Reading since 2013.

Lynetta is survived by her siblings, Melvyn L. Jones, II, Geoffery Jones, Raynell Jones, Melvyn Mayo, Darren Mayo, Sheldon Mayo and Rose Counts. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lowell Jones, Mildred Mayo, Maryann Counts and Betty Allen. Laynetta is also survived by her estranged husband Benjamin Stewart and her life partner Damon Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private at the family’s convenience. Theo C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, Reading is assisting the family.
