Her husband, William C. Shears, passed away January 5, 2002. She was born in Reading on November 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Edwin and Elsie (Goodhart) Heberling.
Miriam is survived by her 3 daughters: Carol J. Malsnee of Shoemakersville, Debra S. and her husband Bradley Berg of Leesport, and Lois A. and her husband Michael Piehel of Oley. There are 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her brother Robert Heberling, and her sister Barbara Fisher, who also survive her. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her sister June Seisler.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the entrance to the cemetery and process from there.
