Nikia Marie Brady — a radiant soul with a heart full of love and a smile that could light up any room — was born on January 24, 1986, in Reading, PA, to Valerie Duncan and Scott Brady. On Thursday, March 6, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most, Nikia peacefully made her transition at Reading Hospital.
Nikia was the kind of person who never met a stranger — her warmth was instant, her laughter contagious, and her spirit unforgettable. She dedicated 13 years to R.M. Palmer Company, but her greatest joy and proudest title was Mom. She was a fiercely loving mother, a fabulous daughter, a devoted sister, and the kind of aunt every niece and nephew dreams of — the one who showed up when it mattered most.
A true people person, Nikia made friends wherever she went — too many to list (but you all know who you are!). She had a special way of making everyone feel like family. Whether at a family gathering, out shopping for just one more pair Jordans, shouting at the TV during an Eagles game, or clutching her lucky bingo card, Nikia lived life out loud and on her own vibrant terms.
She was love, laughter, loyalty, and light — and though she’s no longer physically with us, her energy, her stories, and her unforgettable presence will echo forever in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have known her.
Fly high, Nikia — and Go Birds!
A viewing for Nikia will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601.
