Born in Northampton, MA on August 4, 1930, he was a son of the late Raymond D. and Ruth E. (Erickson) Pauling.
Richard was employed as a Maître D'hôtel at many restaurants in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He was a two time veteran, having served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.
Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Reading.
Surviving is a sister, Barbara D. Custo-Stock of Reading and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Jasinka.
Services for Richard are private and at the convenience of the family. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., reading is entrusted with the arrangements.
