I will always remember Pastors Bill and Julia Phillips.  They were the sweetest kindest people.  Pastor Phillips preached the uncompromised word of God.  He wrote a letter of introduction when Pam Hedley and I stepped out in faith as evangelists and recognized the gifts that the Holy Spirit bestowed upon us.  One of the few pastors I have known to endorse women preachers.  I loved both he and his wife and learned a lot from them.  I know I’ll see them again in our eternal home one day.  And I know Jesus greeted Pastor Bill with “well done my good and faithful servant”.  I have so many wonderful memories of New Lfe Church of God.

Bill and Julia were my pastors when I was 12 yrs on in Needles California back in the 1960s. We never lost touch and always loved them dearly.Bill and Julia will be missed they have just beat us home to their heavenly mansions.

I will never forget the story Pastor told one Sunday morning; It was the story of the elderly couple who were driving along in their old Chevy truck.  The husband was driving and the wife was on the passenger side.  The wife begin to reminisce about their younger married days and how she would always sit in the middle on their rides in the truck and how the husband would always drive with one arm around her shoulders. On this certain day as she was repeating this as she had a few times in the past that now she sits way over on the passenger side as he drives.
 Those famous words that were spoken from the husband in a quiet yet  gentle tone :  "I have never moved; I have always driven".   

Of course Pastors point was we move away from the Lord not the opposite . .Very profound words from our Pastor. 

You will be missed dearly Pastor Phillips.
