
On August 16, 2011 Clorinda "Babe" Musachia went peacefully to be with the Lord.
Clorinda was born on September 24, 1916 in Windsor, CA, the second child of Angelo and Maria Ampi. She attended Richfield Elementary School and Corning High School. Clorinda met her husband to be, Anthony "Tony" Musachia, and was married on June 30, 1935.
Tony and Babe moved to Morgan Hill, CA and had a daughter, Diane, born July 26, 1936. Babe worked as a beautician in Palo Alto for 26 years. In 1970, Babe and Tony, opened a whole-sale nursery, and remained in business until 1974, when Tony passed away. Babe then moved to Red Bluff to be closer to her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Diane passed away in September 1996 after which Clorinda moved to Redding.
Clorinda was an avid Giant's fan and never missed a game. She also knitted continuously, providing blankets, slippers, hats, layettes and sweaters to anyone who asked or needed them.
She is survived by seven grandchildren, Deborah (Larry) Bettes, Chuck (Diane) Blythe, Steven Pope, Craig Caffall, Sandy (Bud) Bridger, David (Bertha) Blythe, and Joseph Blythe, twenty great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; daughter, Diane Blythe; son-in-law, David Blythe; sisters, Dora Branham and Eleanor Palermo; and brother, Joe Ampi.
A Rosary service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy, Redding, CA on Tuesday, August 23 at 10 a.m. A grave-side service will be held at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos, on Wednesday, August 24 at 2 p.m.
