Hubert Lee Welch

06 - 14 -1939 ~ 10 - 11 - 2013

Hubert was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on June 14th 1939.

He and his family migrated to Suisun/Fairfield, California area when he was six. He graduated from Arnijo High School in Fairfield, CA.

He spent four years in the United States Air Force as a Cryptographer. He worked at Mare Island Ship Yard for thirty years in shop 11, as PTO/test, retiring from Code 365 as a Nuclear Progressman.

Huey loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, gardening, reloading, cooking were among his favorite things to do. He coached girls softball in Bobby Sox and Nor-Cal leagues for twelve years in Fairfield and Dixon, CA.

After retirement he and his wife Myra traveled the USA - finally settling down in Redding.

He passed in his home October 11th 2013; leaving behind wife Myra )Beckye) Welch, two daughters, Marie Ann Powell of Anderson and Carole Loreen Potter of Lollison, Arizona, three grand children and 41/2 great grand children.

He will be sorely missed.

The family prefers donations to favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
