Joan Irene Severtson Nixon died Saturday July 9, 2011 after a long illness. She was 77. Born in Redding, CA December 29, 1933.
She is survived by her husband Vance, stepsons Toby of Washington State, Bill of Sacramento, CA and Larry of Southern California. She is also survived by brothers Michael and Timothy both of Redding, CA and a cat Tiko. Cousins Gene of Redding, Donna May of Yuba City, CA and a lot of grandchildren.
Joan loved square dancing and rock hunting. She loved children, although not having any of her own.
Services will be held Monday July 18th at Lawncrest Cemetery in Redding, CA viewing will be 9:00 am-1:30 pm and graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m.
