When we got Lexi dad was not overjoyed. He did not wanted that dog in his room. In the end he was Lexi's protected and loved her.

I did not have a perfect father. I did not have the world's greatest dad. He was flawed as are all human beings. What I had was a dad proud of his military service and the American Flag. What I had was a dad who did not kill me cause I was a difficult child. What I had was a dad that loved my mother deeply for over 55 years and missed her deeply when she died. What I had was a dad that loved his parents, siblings, my mom and her family, his children, his grandchildren and his great grand children (all 11 of them).

What I had was a dad that had a hard time saying I love you but he always made sure we knew it.

What I had was the dad I needed. What I had as a dad I will deeply miss and find comfort knowing he is with the wife and son he missed so much.

Be joyous in your new adventure dad.

John was a one of a kind, onery guy. Always made you feel welcomed with a huge hug. Gonna miss you alot but am happy you are with your loved ones above watching over all.

May your heart be full of memories until the day you see each other again and create new ones.

I love you Grandpa Brown. I will always remember your jokes and how you had it rough when you were a kid because you had to walk barefoot in the snow uphill both ways to get to school. I remember that one the most.You tried to act like you didn't like any of us and there were to many of us crowding your house.The family kept growing and you had no choice but to go with the flow.We know you loved us all and you will never be forgotten.
