Rafael (Marty) Martinez-Rosario
9/27/44 - 10/27/14
A salute to a Veteran (Marty), an Airman for the US Air Force, passed away on 10/27/14, at his home, in Cottonwood, CA, surrounded by family and friends. Marty grew up in Spanish Harlem, NYC. He lived in New England, CT until 1979, then moved to CA and worked at Lockheed and Loral. He became a plumbing contractor in retirement and he loved working on his homes and property. He spent the last few years having long conversations with his sons, spending time with friends and his dogs were always by his side. He loved to socialize, go dancing, but his real passion was his chickens and goats. You could often find him at the swap meets on Saturdays.
He is survived by his sons, Scott and Craig, grandson C.J. The memorial services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Igo, CA, at 12:30 p.m., on 11/06/14. Services are open to all who were fortunate enough to know Marty. Marty was known for his quick wit, charm and his big heart. He will be missed by many.
