Richard Leland Swayze Sr. Passed Away peacefully at home Monday October 28, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Tacoma, WA, February 15, 1922. Richard moved to Hayfork, CA, at the age of two. He grew up in Hayfork, served with the Army's 91st division in North Africa and Italy during World War II. He returned home in September 1945 and married the love of his life
Louella Moore. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1983 after 43 years of service. He leaves behind his wife Louella, daughter Sharee Evans of Citrus Height, CA. His son Richard L. Swayze Jr of Redding, CA. And his daughter Joy Case of Roseville, CA. Plus, four grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at Lawncrest Cemetery Sunday November 10 at 11am followed by a Celebration of Life at the clubhouse at Starlight Mobile Estates.
