Sherman Louis Cates, age 81, of Redding, California passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. Sherman was born March 12, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Sherman is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cates; his daughter Angela Haws; his daughter Marcy Cates; his daughter Kimberly Escamilla; his step-daughter Vickie Johnston; his step-daughter April Schaadt; and his step-daughter Rene Barnard.

Sherman is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren to love andcherish his memory.

A chapel memorial service for Sherman will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lawncrest Chapel, 1522 E. Cypress Ave., Redding, California.
