Vada was born a little east of town in Van Buren, Arkansas on December 18, 1921. She married Johnnie Parker on October 17, 1936, in Oklahoma.
Vada had two daughters, Gloria and Barbara (who preceded her in death), before moving to California in 1940. After moving to California she took a job in a ship yard, in Los Angeles, as a welder, building battle ships for WWII. Some time after that she had two sons, George and Larry, before moving to Shasta County, in 1944. Between 1952 and 1960, two more daughters were born, Della and Valerie.
Vada was a homemaker and later in years worked part time for Shasta County Office of Education in the R.O.P. food service program, from 1980 and retired in 1990. She was a member of Valley Christian Center in Anderson for 50 years, and a member of the Women Ministry.
Vada was a devoted, caring and loving wife, mother and Grandmother, and friend to all who ever had the priviledge to have met her.
Vada was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Johnnie, Barbara Moreno and her son Larry Parker.
She is survived by daughter Gloria Schmidt of Eureka , Montana, Son George Parker of Anderson, California, daughter Della Bethea of Toneu, Alabama, and daughter Valerie Archey of Anderson, California: 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 14 gret great grandchildren. Brother virgil Thomas of Oregon and sister Rady Barette of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
