

Winona Reeves-Van Asten, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, a person who, let’s be honest wasn’t always easy to be around. She had a strong feisty personality, and a firm opinion on everything. But beneath that exterior there was a heart that cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and animals.
Nonie was born on November 5th, 1933 in Burley Idaho, and left us on December 22,2024 at the age of 91 peacefully at home with her daughter Cindy and daughter in law Brenda by her side.
Nonie grew up in Oak Run,Ca. She attended grade school, Shasta high school and later went to Shasta College where she met her first husband Clarence Reeves Jr . They shared 8 years together and had their children, Keith, Ken, and Cindy.
Nonie was a logger early on in life and retired later from Dorton security in the Bay Area. While living In the Bay Area she met Ivo in 1980 at a restaurant. They moved to Oak run, Ca after retirement to be close to their grandchildren, Kenny, Kevin, Kirk, Monica and Manuel… In 1997 Nonie and Ivo wed in Reno, Nv on her birthday so they couldn’t forget the date.
Nonie has left behind her son, Ken his wife Brenda Reeves, her daughter Cindy Kendall.
5 Grandkids Kenny Jr, Kevin, Kirk and wife Jenifer Reeves. Monica Covey and husband Nicholas, and Manuel Moreno.
5 Great Grandchildren Cyrus, Annabelle, Andrew, and Jaxon Reeves, and the youngest of them all Noah Covey.
