Danny is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marilyn Pugh; daughters Tracey Pugh and Tracey Frantz and grandchild Jason Cartagena (the love of his life); sister Linda Lucas Webb, brother Lonny Pugh and tons of other family.
Danny was preceded in death by his father Byron Pugh and mother Melba Pugh, brother David Pugh and sister Judy Adkins.
To know Danny was to love him. He was someone who was always busy doing something. He never sat still. He was a hard worker. He spent more time helping other people than he did doing what he might have wanted to do. He was very wise and tried to share that. He knew a little bit about almost everything. He would always tell stories about back in the day. He liked older cars and liked racing and going to car shows with mom and my son. He loved to fish, metal detect and collecting old coins. He liked to go to the gun range and loved hunting for that "notorious monster buck". He liked to play around on the guitar, listening to oldies music. He spent a lot of time reading things on the internet and never missed the news. He had tons of will power. He knew a lot of people and had a lot of great friends. Friends he knew his entire life and ones he made over the years. He was always there for you when you needed him and someone you could trust and count on. He took great care of his family and wanted them to be happy. The most important thing in his life was his grandson Jason Manuel, his pride and joy. He cooked the best scalloped potatoes. He liked to make and eat chocolate cookies, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream. My dad was someone who cared, that was something he was good at. But most of all he loved... even the ones who may think that he didn't. He's leaving a lot of people with great memories. This was my father. I miss you already dad.
