Helen Talaske

Helen Talaske was born on November 22, 1917 in Hawks, Michigan to her parents John and Anna Kowalski. She was the ninth of ten children. She died at home with her family on October 4, 2012 in Redford, Michigan.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Joseph and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her children Brian Talaske, Ron Suntree, Ann (Dick) Leatherbury, Karen Talaske, Geri (Rod) Love and Margaret (Paul) Szamatowicz. She is the loving grandmother of Nicole, Jacki, Elizabeth and Rachel and the great grandmother of Lincoln and Arthur. She is also survived by her sister Frances.

Visitation for Helen will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford. Helen's funeral services will be held at her church, St. Hilary Catholic Church, 23901 Elmira in Redford Township, Michigan 48239 on Wednesday October 10, 2012. She will lie in state at the church from 9 am until her Funeral Mass at 10 am. The church is located off of Appleton Street in the neighborhood of the southeast corner of Telegraph and Plymouth Roads.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
