Irene M. Long Britz

Irene Marie Britz was born in Highland Park, Michigan on September 3, 1934 to August and Violetta Long. She passed away peacefully in her Brighton, Michigan home on August 20, 2013, under the gentle care of St. Joseph Hospice, at the age of 78.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Britz who passed away before her in 2006. Loving mother of Pam (Charles) Bennett, Douglas (Vickie) Britz and the late Daniel Britz who passed away in 1974 at the age of 17. Dear grandma of Gail (Robert) Hansen, BethAnn (Adam) Salinas, Jordan Britz and Joel Britz. Great-grandmother of Xavier Hansen, Rachel Salinas, Phoenix Hansen and Isaac Salinas.

The family will receive guest for a Visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 4-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239. (Just east of Beech Daly)

Final Viewing will begin at 10:00am on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church 25630 Grand River Avenue, Redford Township, Michigan 48240. (Just east of Beech Daly)

The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am at the church followed by a procession to Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery where Irene will be laid to rest next to her husband with Committal Prayers. Luncheon to follow.

The Funeral Service and Committal Service will be led by and The Reverend Timothy P. Halboth, The Reverend Dr. Victor F. Halboth and The Reverend Adam Salinas.
