Mary was born to the late Dorothy and Patrick Morrissey in Detroit on November 9, 1928. She attended St. Mary’s of Redford and earned a degree in Chemistry from the University of Detroit. She worked at Parke-Davis in Detroit where she met her late husband, Thaddeus. She left to raise her family in Redford Township.
Mary lived a full life with her family and traveled all over the United States as well as Europe. She was a prolific crafter which included quilting, knitting, cross stitching and sewing. Mary was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. She volunteered in the Detroit area with a special place in her heart for Orchestra Hall, The Detroit Historical Society and The Irish Cultural Forum.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Suchenek, Carol (Bill) Payne and Beverly Suchenek, her son Thomas Suchenek and grandsons Erik and Kyle Payne; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary's family will receive guests for a visitation on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4-8pm with a 7pm Rosary Service at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth (Just east of Beech Daly) Redford Township, Michigan 48239.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:30am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 (In State 11am) a St. Valentine Catholic Church 14841 Beech Daly Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239. The Mass will be led by Father Henry Rebello.
Mary will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
