Ronald Walter Moore was born on November 28, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Edwin and Ardine Moore. He was the oldest of three children. After many years of battling renal failure, Ronald passed away in Livonia, Michigan on June 15, 2018 at the age of 75.
Ronald was preceded in death by; his parents and his brother Leslie Moore.
Ronald is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Judy Moore; daughters Kimberly (Steve) Tressler; and Jennifer (Richard) Sanders; sister Sandra (Phillip) Crockett and sister-in-law Carol Webster; grandchildren; Lisa Tressler, Nicole Tressler, Kaitlyn Sanders, Caleb Sanders, Caden Sanders; Uncle of many nieces and nephews. .
Ronald was a proud United States Navy Veteran who served honorably during Vietnam. He later served as a Police Officer for the city of Detroit until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, crossword puzzles and simply enjoying nature and animals. Ronald had a good sense of humor and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Ronald's family will receive guests for a visitation on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The visiting will continue on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth, Redford Township, Michigan 48239.
Ronald's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The family will begin to receive guests at 10 AM. The service will be led by Reverend Richard Smith of Bethel Baptist Church in Livonia, Michigan.
Ronald will be laid to rest privately in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
To honor Ronald's service to his country, the United States Navy Funeral Honors Team will perform a formal flag presentation at Ronald's gravesite in Resurrection Cemetery on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00am.
