After getting together, they moved to Carpinteria in the 1940's and was married for over 70 years. They raised two sons; Keith and Kenneth in Carpinteria.
Bill worked for the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire District, was involved in the Carpinteria Sanitation District, and also worked construction. In addition to that, Bill was a leader for the Boy Scouts for 35 years.
After retirement, they moved to Oregon to be closer to family.
Bill has four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Bill will be buried in the Carpinteria Cemetery with his wife, Vera.
