My dearest Fernando
I only recently learned of your passing this week  and I am so sorry we have lost touch after these many years. I will always cherish our time we spent together in San Francisco before I moved back to New York.  Our time  living together on 20th Street and spending time with friends such as Robb and John C will always be happy memories.  I know you are in a good place because of,your good heart and your generosity to people.  Sleep in peace my friend and know you left this world and my life a better place because of our time together.

What a complete and total shock to hear of your passing.   It was a honor to have have had the opportunity to meet you.   You were a bright and shining  light when you walked into a room.   I have never seen you without your bubbling personality who never knew a stranger and always made you feel welcome and never an outsider.   Though you may no longer be here amongst us you will remain in each and every one's heart and minds.   You may be gone but shall not be forgotten as all we have to do is remember all of the GOOD times that each of us had with you.   The heavens just got a little bit brighter and the eternal crown now holds another cherished gem/jewel making it sparkle a whole lot more.

The happiness you shared will never go away!!!!

Sometimes we forget that the present moment is all we ever have. So I find comfort in the fact you lived your life in true happiness. I want to thank you for all the great memories that I will always cherish! From your christmas party, to you and Kiki putting together my graduation party in 2010 and the laughs we had a Jackie's 15era. All I can say is that you definitely made a difference in this world and you are one of a kind.

Hace poco más de un año, Fernando escribió éste pensamiento alusivo a el deceso de mi Mamá, y honrando a mi Tio Rodrigo (su Papá).Cuánta razón y profundidad en tan pequeño mensaje.Hay que vivir intensamente como él lo hizo, ejemplo de vida, Dios lo llamó a su diestra y ahora iluminará el cielo con su enorme sonrisa.

Rest easy my friend.  The world won't be the same without your smile and laugh.

Fern, you were a great manager and I always remember you smiling and laughing. Thanks for all the great work memories. You'll be missed, but not forgotten. Rest in eternal peace, my friend.

May you rest in peace, knowing that you've touched so many lives and done such good and brought on so much change for our community - more than many people can accomplish in one lifetime. Your memory and legacy will live on in our hearts forever, until we meet again my friend...

The world was a better place with you in it, Fernando. Your kindness to everyone is what I'll remember most. Thinking of your smile makes me smile. We will miss you deeply.
