Dixie Lee Roeme

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dixie Lee (Pipkin) Roeme announces her passing. Dixie was born on September 14, 1936, to parents Robert and Gladys Pipkin. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 20, 2025. She is fondly remembered, and deeply mourned by her children, Debbie Correia, Larry Roeme Jr., Lori (Lee) Fino, and Lisa Kiser, along with her nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dixie is also survived by her brothers Ron Pipkin, Bob (Jackie) Pipkin, John (Linda) Pipkin, and sister Pat Leal.

She was a vivacious woman with an infectious laugh whose friendly and caring nature made her truly one of a kind. Her vast knowledge she was able to pass on to her loved ones will live on for many generations. Undoubtedly, Dixie will be remembered as a fierce matriarch who in her early life ran a tight ship with her children. But also, as the fun loving Grandmother who always had “capri sun” for her grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom the love and adoration was mutually felt.

After retiring from a successful career Dixie found retirement suited her. She enjoyed spending time with her family & grandchildren as well as traveling with family & friends, pinocle cards and bunco games. Her Red Hat group afforded her many opportunities to see new places and she never met a beach she didn’t like.

Dixie enjoyed being with her family and had many fond memories camping in various places around the state with her children and grandchildren. Her passion for life often found her on the beach watching her family play in the waves, amassed with her family into a cabin or curled up with a good book.

Fiercely independent she was an inspiration to her family to forge their own path. Always encouraging them to be their authentic selves. Her light will shine on through those that were closest to her. A natural botanophile, her garden was something to behold; her green thumb was awesome and inspiring.

A remembrance service is to be held November 8, 2025 11am at Dopkins Chapel in Reedley.
