Jose was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served his country. He dedicated ten years of his career as a Fruit Inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Above all else, Jose was a devoted family man, lovingly known as “Daddy Joe.” He lived for his wife, daughter and son, and the light of his life was his grandchildren. A great cook with a true green thumb, Jose found joy in caring for others whether through a home-cooked meal, tending his garden, or teaching everyone he loved how to swim. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews and took pride in being a guiding presence in their lives.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Juana Rodriguez; daughter, Patricia Rodriguez Pacheco, her husband, Glenn, grandchildren Ray Pacheco and Joslyn Pacheco; son, Joey Rodriguez and grandson Matthew Ward. He is also survived by his brothers, Arturo Rodriguez, Federico Martinez, and Sando Martinez, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Angel Rodriguez, and his mother, Julia Rodriguez.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel, located at 2200 S. Reed Ave., Reedley, CA 93654.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carmen and David Lopes and all of Jose’s nieces and nephews for their love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
Jose will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, kindness, and the lasting legacy he leaves with his family.
