Katherine Jean Pinon

Kathy grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Wayzata High School before attending Bethel College in St. Paul. She met the love of her life, Frank Pinon, in 1978, and they were married in Ruidoso, New Mexico, on December 13, 1981. Together, they shared a life of deep faith, love, and family.

Kathy worked for 18 years as an Engineering Draftsman Tech for the City of Reedley. She was devoted to her family and cherished time with her six grandchildren.

In 1984, Kathy survived a ruptured brain aneurysm, a miracle that left a lasting impact on her life and faith. She went on to raise two wonderful children, Nathaniel and Bethany, and touched many lives with her strength, kindness, and unwavering trust in God.

In 2018, Kathy was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. After five years of remission, the cancer returned, and she bravely fought for another 18 months surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Frank Pinon; son Nathaniel and his three sons; daughter Bethany (Brandon Richart) and their three children; her parents, Richard and Beth Berreth; and her siblings Lin Christenson (Curtis), Dean Berreth (Heather), David Berreth (Linda), and Joanna Shoemaker (Keith). She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Kathy’s life was marked by grace, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
