It is with great sadness that the family of Alex “The Boy” Cardinal announce his sudden passing on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Stanley Wilfred Cardinal; paternal grandparents Caroline and Allan Goodwill, and Alexander Racette; brother Leo Maurice Cardinal; uncles Arlen and Kevin; and aunts Joanne, Debbie, and Karen. Alex leaves to mourn his grandmother Violet Cardinal; father Joseph Goodwill (Pebbles); mother Gwen McKenzie; sisters Tanya (Lesley), Andrea (Ken), Alex “The Girl”, Paige (Davis), Jade, and Daisy; his children Alex Jr., Serenity, Paula, Dyrin, Tara, and Cory; special uncle Wade Wesaquate; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and “bros”. Memorial donations in Alex’s name may be made to the Street Worker’s Advocacy Project (SWAP), or to the Indigenous Christian Fellowship.
