Art Frolick peacefully passed away with his loving wife Arlene by his side. He was born in Holdfast SK, the only son of Jack Frolick and Phyllis (Hungle) Frolick. Along with his wife, Art is survived by his three children: son Scott (Anita) Frolick and their children, Sarah and James Frolick; daughter Laurie (Jeff) Hack and their children Tynan, Brendan and Jamie Hack; and son Michael Frolick. He is also survived by Arlene’s family, Evan Onderko and his children, Alexa (Drew) Bellanger, Clay and Jaden Onderko and great grand-son, Kohen Bellanger; Rosanne (Lewis) Robin and their children Kaila (Michael) Clark and Sean Robin; Carol (Grant) Marit and their sons Joel, Travis and Landon Marit. He is also survived by his only sister, Dorothy O’Brien of Edmonton AB, nieces Cheryl (Roy) Singer, Janet (Angelo) Posteraro, cousin Gordon Wiseman and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In 1951, Art began working with Trans-Canada Airlines (TCA) in Regina, which ultimately became Air Canada. He worked at the Regina Airport for 25 years and spent another 10 years in the district office downtown in customer relations. He retired in 1986. During much of this time, he worked with his father, who operated Frolick Television, eventually taking over the business with partners. Art loved to travel, especially to several Caribbean islands, to Europe and to attend major league baseball games in New York. He loved sports and in his younger years, Art played football, baseball, basketball, curled, and enjoyed many years of golf and handball. He was a 25-year season ticket holder with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Art and Arlene spent 20 years wintering in Casa Grande and Mesa, Arizona.
