Audrey Stella Bokor (nee Kriston) beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away in the early morning of April 28, 2025, at the age of 86. Predeceased by her parents Olteen and Anna Kristion; her brother Leonard; and brother-in-law Bob Wilkie. Audrey will remain forever in the hearts of her husband Frank; their two children Wendy (Keith) Kawecki and Wayne (Sheila) Bokor; her grandchildren: Jared (Igor), Landon (Daniel), Carver, Tanner (Dominique), Jade; her great-grandson Nathan, the son of Tanner and Dominique Bokor; brother Harvey (Sandy) Kriston; sister Valerie Wilkie; and sister-in-law Cori Kriston.
Frank and Audrey were married in Mankota, Saskatchewan at an early age on July 20, 1956. They made Melville, Saskatchewan their home in which Audrey assisted Frank in running their water well business (Bokor Drilling). Upon their retirement they enjoyed many years of travelling south to Yuma, Arizona to escape the harsh winters of Saskatchewan. During the summers in Melville, they devoted time and lots of energy in supporting their grandsons through swimming lessons which Jared, Landon, and Carver felt were unnecessary, however thankful that they know how to swim. They introduced the game of golf to their younger grandsons Tanner and Jade and spent countless hours teaching them to play, which they both love to this day. Not only did they spend quality time with their grandchildren and attended their numerous sporting events, you were always guaranteed to see Frank and Audrey golfing at the Melville Golf Course.
In 2010, they decided to sell their home in Melville and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. During this time, they continued to drive south for the winters until the spring of 2016. They made many lasting friendships which Audrey remained in contact with through the help of her iPad, which was never too far from her sight. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her competitiveness in her love of cards, the love she continually showed for her family, and the countless family gatherings, holiday celebrations, homemade buns, dinners, and her wonderful baking.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and Caregivers at the Pasqua Hospital. We can’t say enough in how well she was cared for in unit 3B and Palliative Care.
As per Audrey’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pasqua Hospital - Palliative Care Unit or a charity of your choice.
