Brent Kevin Amyotte

5 June, 196222 March, 2021

Brent Kevin Amyotte was born on June 5, 1962 at the Grey Nuns Hospital, which is now referred to as the Regina General Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan. On March 22, 2021 at the age of 58, Brent passed away peacefully, at the Regina General Hospital.

Brent loved his family and was a kind, generous, and caring person. When his stepfather passed away, he moved from Calgary, Alberta to Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan to reside with his mother so that she would not be home alone and lonely. His presence gave her the strength to keep living and enjoying life. He was her bingo buddy, her chauffeur and her baby boy.

Brent was a hard worker, but he also enjoyed life. He loved roofing. Despite falling off the roof a few times, he got right back up there and finished the job. He lived his life the same way. He did not let obstacles in life or sickness for that matter keep him down rather he kept going and lived life to its fullest right to the end. When he was diagnosed with COPD and then Cancer, he still kept going … going to chemo, radiation and specialists. He kept going for his family. Battling his Cancer to stay alive despite the pain and discomfort he kept moving forward, living life to its fullest and trying to prepare family for his death. He talked to family right up until the night before he passed. He said all his goodbyes , let family members know of his arrangements and he was ready to go.

Welcoming Brent to Heaven is his mother, Frieda Bellegarde; his father Kenneth Munn; his stepfather Robert (Bob) Flanders; grandmother Olive Bellegarde; grandfather William Bellegarde; uncles Stephen Bellegarde, James (Jimmy) Bellegarde and Thomas (Tommy) Bellegarde; his aunt Alma Bellegarde; nephews Ashley Amyotte and Lex Bellegarde and the friends who have gone before him.

Celebrating his life is the mother of his children and a lifelong friend Robyn Dieter; his children, Senshara Dieter, Tyler (Melanie) Clearwater and his granddaughter Ivory Clearwater; his twin brother Barry (Doris) Amyotte and sister Beverly Bellegarde (Philip Auger); his nieces Charlcey , Kailyn, Glennys, Samantha, Janessa, Jennifer and Tracy; his nephews Kenneth, Stanley, Victor, Jeremy, Torey, Logan and Todd. His aunts Jean McDowell, Doris Bellegarde, Shirley Kobetitch, Jean Bellegarde and Frances (Alfred) Montgrand; his uncles Keith (Karen) Bellegarde and Terry Bellegarde (Brenda); Brent is also remembered by numerous cousins and friends.

Brent Amyotte’s ashes will be buried alongside his grandparents Olive and William Bellegarde and his mother Frieda Bellegarde at the Catholic Church gravesite on Peepeekisis First Nation on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 11:00 am.
