

Charles joined the Royal Air Force Aircrew as an air navigator during WW11, at the age of 17. When he immigrated to Canada with his wife Bertha and firstborn son Brian in 1954, they settled in Mantario, where he accepted his first teaching position. His second son, Fraser, was born and completed their family a few years later. He eventually moved the family to Saskatoon so he could attend the U of S, and after two years, distinguished himself as a student of History. His next step was accepting the Principal position at the Radville High School, where he stayed for 16 years, then retired and relocated to Regina. Charles was respected and admired for his great intellect, his sense of humor and wit; his abiding love for his wife and family, and his support and loyalty for his friends.
Charles was predeceased by his best friend and loving wife of 48 years, Bertha, in 1999.

Charles loved and deeply cherished Cindy, Rachelle, and treasured friends of 60 years Harvey and Joyce.
To Tara and Rick Singh, and the staff at Golden Years Manor; words cannot express the appreciation we have for the exceptional care, love, dignity, respect, and compassion Charles always received from you right up until his final moments. He cared a great deal for all of you. He truly appreciated everything you did for him, big or small, and was always offering Lindt chocolates as a small sign of his gratitude. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always caring so much about his health and happiness.
Words of gratitude to the Schick family for your constant generosity, kindness and support. Everything you have done over the years made Charles feel just like one of your family. Until his passing a few months ago, Arnold was a big part of his life. He treasured his friendship, companionship, and looked forward to their daily visits.
