Pastor Clifton Karl Isnana passed away peacefully with his loving wife Laverne, at his side, after 15 years of marriage, at the hospital in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He devoted his life to serving the lord and enjoyed singing and playing guitar. He loved to travel to camp meetings across Canada and the USA to fellowship. Clifton worked as a housing inspector with many First Nations across Saskatchewan, as well as the Housing Department at the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council. Clifton also served on the council from 2004-2007 for Standing Buffalo and worked with many organizations to enhance the quality of housing for the band members. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Laverne Isnana; daughters Ashley and Jaylene; grandchildren; sisters Freda Essie and Maxine Isnana; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as brothers and sisters in Christ. He is predeceased by his parents William George Isnana Sr and Theresa Mary Isnana; brothers William George Isnana Jr, Franklin Louis Isnana Sr, Melvin Ralph Isnana Sr, Joseph Lloyd Isnana Sr, Lorne Stanley Isnana; sisters Marcelline Alice Hickman, and Teresa Mae Isnana; as well as a brother and sister in infancy. We would like to thank Standing Buffalo Chief and Council, the nurses and Dr. Joseph Estioco of All Nations Healing Hospital for their loving care, in addition to the File Hills Qu’Appelle Home Care nurses. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A public graveside service will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Standing Buffalo Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
