February 7, 1960 – October 17, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daryl, aged 66 on Saturday Oct 17,2026.
Daryl leaves behind his two loving sons Derek and Mitch (Sydney); and his cherished grandson Noah. He is also survived by his wife Charlene, of Kelowna; his sister Brenda Jelinski (Ken), and their family; and his sister Cheryl Trevors Yaremko, and her family.
Daryl was predeceased by his father Merle in 1987; his mother Dolores in 1994; and his brother Brad, in 1956.
Daryl enjoyed working and was never without a job. He took great pride in his career and made many friends along the way. Some of his happiest times were spent at Katepwa lake with his family, where waterskiing and evenings around the campfire were among his favourite pastimes. In his younger years he enjoyed the family cabin at Kenosee lake.
Daryl faced his share of struggles and can now rest in peace. He suffered from COPD and later heart failure, which eventually forced him to retire from a job he loved. Daryl and Charlene raised their family in Whitewood before returning to Regina in later years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Victoria Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, on Friday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
