

He was predeceased by his parents James and Carol Chabun; his wife Agnes Chabun (Bishop); as well as his brother in laws Ron Englot and Ab Bishop.
He lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Throughout his career, he worked in Fisheries, practiced the skilled craft of taxidermy, contributed to wildlife conservation through Ducks Unlimited, and dedicated many years of service to SaskTel. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A passionate outdoorsman, Dayle had a lifelong connection to nature and wildlife.
Whether he was spending time outdoors, sharing stories and knowledge with family and friends, or applying his craftsmanship as a fantastic artist, he brought enthusiasm, skill, and purpose to everything he did.
Above all else, Dayle cherished his family.
He was first and foremost a loving husband to his wife and mother of his children, Agnes, for 44 years before her passing in October 2020. He was a devoted son, father, father in law, grandfather, brother, godfather and friend whose love, guidance and presence will be deeply missed.
Dayle is lovingly remembered by his son Sean Chabun (Rachel Pounder); and his daughter, Amber Komar (Robert Komar). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Cole, Sydney, Brooklynn, Mia, Aliyah and Shelby, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his sisters Corrine Englot and Debbie Matchett (Floyd); Brother in law Bill Bishop ( Enid ); and Sister in law Shirley Bishop; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Dayle will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his incredible art work, and the kindness, wisdom, and friendship he shared with others. He lives on through the family he loved, the memories he created and the countless lives he touched throughout his 74 years.
A celebration of Dayle's life will be held, with a future date to be determined.
