It is with deep sadness that the family of Erna Knapp announces her passing on Thursday October 2, 2025. Mom was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Caroline Dybaylo; her husband Jake in 2011; sister Emma Hodel; brother Eddie Dybaylo; 5 sisters-in-law and 7 brothers-in-law. Erna leaves to mourn her daughters Shirley (Marshall) Petrovicz, Arlene (Len) Antal, Wanda (Richard) Michel and son Randy; 7 grandchildren Derek (Cara) Petrovicz, Kent (Eunice) Petrovicz, Sharla Antal, Dana Antal, Troy (Kelly) Antal, Kari Michel, and Kayla (Josh) Hillier; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Delores Voelpel and Diane Glowa. Erna was born on the family farm near Southey on May 22, 1927. The funeral service will be held at Southey Emmanuel Lutheran Church on October 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm with lunch to follow. Interment to follow at North Southey Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
