On July 14, 2013 Kimowan Peyisew left us to begin his journey home to be with our ancestors. Predeceased by his parents, Allan and Anges Marie Starblanket (Peekatch); his brothers and sisters, Louis, Victor, Lily Grace, Eleanor, Baby Girl in Infancy, Georgina and Great-Grandchild Launa Shay Kurek. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Muriel Starr (Buffalo); his sister Marceline Alexson; four children Lindsay (Delphine), Gilbert Lynn Jr. (Loree), Arlene (Kevin) Renita (Dale); Special Sons, James Starblanket, Marcel Starr and Michael G. Starr; Twenty-one Grandchildren and Thirty-seven Great Grandchildren of whom are the most precious gifts one can ask for; numerous nieces and nephews; The File Hills Communities, and many dear friends and relatives. A special thank you for the nurses and staff of the Balcarres Integrated Care Home who cared for Gilbert with compassion and care over the last three years. A viewing will be held for family and friends at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday July 17, 2013 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. A Wake will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2013 in the Wah-pii-moos-toosis gym, Lebret, SK. at 4:00pm. A Traditional service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 in the Wah-pii-moos-toosis gym, Lebret, SK. at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Star Blanket First Nation Cemetery.
