

H. Louise Derkitt (née Maupin) of Regina, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the age of 90 years. Louise was born to Ray and Mary Olive Maupin on November 21, 1935, during the sleigh ride from their farm to the cottage hospital in Pense, SK.
She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years Gordon (Bud) Derkitt. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Derkitt (Mike Ingle), her sister, Maureen Okotinsky, and her second "adoptive" family, Susan, Joe, and Bailey Schaeffer.
Three brothers, Thomas, Charles, and William Maupin, and one sister, Cecile Bauman, predecease her.
Louise was a career civil servant, working first in the Saskatchewan Legislative Building then in the Saskatchewan Revenue Building where she managed a mainframe team. She left the government for a change of pace, selling major appliances at Eaton's. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, movies, bird & squirrel watching, and cooking for friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, with a lunch to follow. Interment at 1:30 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
