Herbie was the tenth of eleven children born to Leopold and Marie at the homestead in Markinch, Saskatchewan.
Dad loved his sports playing hockey, baseball, and curling for many years. His family, church, and community were very important to him. He spent many hours volunteering putting in the ice, preparing for the Markinch BBQ, sports day dances, as well as tournaments and bonspiels.
Herbie leaves behind the love of his life Sylvia (nee Goos) whom he married on October 24, 1958. His children Doug (Suzanne), Heather (John Paul) Rozall, and Susan (Len) Guenther; his grandchildren Steven (Celia), Jared (Taiya) and Anna Schneider (Cody), and Michael Rozall; sister Helen (Duke); and sister-in-law Erica remain to share his memories and life stories with his children and grandchildren.
