Ines Cargniello Breda

Ines was predeceased by her husband, Quinto Breda; her parents, Maria Zanardo and Pietro Cargnello; and her brother, Mario Cargnello.

She leaves behind her children, Dino, Marino, Daniel (Myrna), and Fulvia (Rob); her grandchildren, Danean (Chad), Marina, Lisa, Luke, Steven, and Luca; her great-granddaughter, Kassy; her sister-in-law, Giuseppina, in Vivaro, Italy; and many nieces and nephews who still reside in Italy.

Ines was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family. In 1954, Quinto came to Canada to build a better future, and two years later Ines bravely left her home in Italy with their young son, Dino, to begin a new life beside him. Together, they worked tirelessly, sacrificed much, and built not only a home, but a legacy of love, faith, and family. They were proud founding members of the Italian Club and treasured the friendships they made within Regina's Italian community.

Family was the center of Mom's world. She loved hearing about the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, celebrating every milestone and sharing in every joy. Her Catholic faith guided her throughout her life and gave her strength through both the happy moments and the difficult ones. She found peace in tending her garden, enjoyed many afternoons playing cards or visiting the casino, and was always happiest when surrounded by the people she loved.

If you knew Ines, you will remember her beautiful smile and unmistakable laugh. She had a way of making others feel welcome, and her warmth stayed with you long after you left her company. Although her mobility limited her ability to get out in recent years, her closest friends never forgot her. Their visits, phone calls, and friendship meant more to her than words can express, and our family will always be grateful for the kindness they showed her.

Mom taught us that love is found in everyday acts of kindness, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to family. Her life was one of courage, resilience, generosity, and grace. We will miss her deeply, but we find comfort knowing she is reunited with Dad and is resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Cecilia R.C. Parish, 5020 Seventh Avenue, Regina, on Saturday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m. The service will also be livestreamed. To view the service online, please visit: www.stcecregina.com.
