

With heartfelt sadness, Kathleen Walker, late of Lumsden, SK, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in the Regina Pasqua Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by father Douglas Edmunds (1998); and mother Winnifred Edmunds (1992); sister Muriel (1951); and three brothers Harry Edmunds (1997), Douglas Edmunds (1998), and George Edmunds (2016). Kathleen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Floyd Walker; two brothers Albert and Gilbert Edmunds; children Melvin (Carol) Walker, and Sharon Walker; grandchildren Deserae, Logan, Skyla Walker, and Tyler Stewart; She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and good friends. Kay led an active life. She was a qualified secretary for years. She was involved with Brownies and Girl Guides. She was a life member of the Army Navy Vets and volunteer for Lumsden Museum, Heritage Home, Dew Drop Inn, and several other projects. Mom was an awesome cook and loved to bake. She spent endless hours in the yard and garden. It was her passion. She also spent many years camping and owning a family cottage. Our grateful thanks to the Lumsden paramedics and ambulance crew, as well as the nurses and doctors at the Pasqua Hospital Emergency Department, and the nurses and doctors on unit 4A. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dew Drop Inn, 275 James Street N, Lumsden, SK, on Saturday, August 19th, 2017, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
