Lawrence James Luzny

Lawrence Luzny It is with great sadness that Lawrence’s family announces his sudden passing on April 28, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Lawrence is survived by Helen K. Luzny (nee Folk), his loving wife of 62 years, children Debbie Luzny, Larry Luzny, Kurt Luzny, Aaron (Charlene) Luzny, Donna (Robert) Lang, and grandchildren Joshlyn Luzny, Jessica (Tim) Quinney, Desiree Luzny, Ranita Luzny (Kody Poitras), Braden (Cassandra) Lang, Jarrett Lang, and Kelsy Lang. Lawrence was a hard worker and loved mixed farming while raising his family. He was a creative and innovative welder, builder and amateur vet. He was the go to man, helping neighbours pull calves or weld equipment. He had a huge heart for the community, being very active in a variety of boards for Fish, School, UGG, Telephone, Co-op and Knights of Columbus. At a young age he loved to play hockey and when he had his own family, coached the 10 & Under and 12 & Under Holdfast hockey teams. Lawrence also loved to visit with family, friends and neighbours and you could always pick Lawrence out of the crowd from his hearty laugh and smile on his face. Due to covid, a private viewing and mass will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lawrence’s name to Holdfast Catholic Cemetery, PO Box 40, Holdfast, SK S0G 2H0 or for a mass to be said please contact your local parish.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Lawrence.
Our sympathies to you.

Growing up, I have three memories that really stand out for me.
His laugh.
His haircut.
His quick wit when trying to have a good-natured battle of the minds - from which he usually came out on top.

Fun and fond memories of Uncle Lawrence.

My deepest sympathies on Uncle Lawrence's passing. A large number of years ago, I was walking through the Cornwall Centre food court and realized he was there. I heard him well before I saw him. A hearty laugh, indeed.
