Born on March 8, 1928, on the family homestead near Stornoway, Saskatchewan, Lena grew up surrounded by the strength and closeness of her large family. At the age of 15, she moved to Yorkton, where she began working at the Broadway Café. It was there she met her future husband, Howard Nagy, and the two were married in 1958. Shortly after, they settled in Regina and began their family, eventually welcoming five sons.
Once her children were grown, Lee began working at the General Hospital, where she dedicated 17 years of service before retiring.
Lee enjoyed a full and lively life. She loved playing bunco, bingo, and family poker, and she rarely missed a curling or tennis match on TV. Her home was always filled with laughter, competition, and the warmth of family gatherings.
