Linda Diane Mason

Linda Diane Mason was born on June 30, 1947 in Reston, Manitoba to Lloyd and Dorothy (Henden) Wallace. Linda lost her mother at the tender age of 5 and was ultimately raised in Reston with her brother, Larry, by their maternal grandparents, Gordon and Ruby (Edgerton) Henden.

Linda married Frederick Mason on July 16, 1966 at the United Church in Reston, MB.

In their early years, Linda and Fred resided in Flin Flon and Brandon, Manitoba; they moved to Regina in 1975, which they then called home for almost 50 years.

Linda was an avid reader, as well as a keeper of the family history. Linda dearly loved her family and friends; she remembered everyone’s birthday, spouse’s names, occupations, etc . and enjoyed hearing about their current events.

Linda suffered many health issues over the years, and many hospital stays. In October 2024 she moved into long-term care at Parkside Care Home in Regina. Following a subsequent brief hospital stay, Linda was finally released from her suffering at the Pasqua Hospital on December 16, 2024 to peacefully join Larry, her parents and grandparents. She is also predeceased by Fred’s brothers and sisters.

To celebrate her life, Linda is survived by Fred, her husband of 58 years, her beloved cats, Martin and Tiny, her sisters-in-law, Olive Wallace and Mary Mason, numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Patti.

At Linda’s request, there will be no funeral service. Her final resting place will be with her parents in Reston, Manitoba.
