

Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Alex Benesh; her son, Jim Benesh; her parents, Andrew and Agnes Komar; her daughter-in-law, Lorie; her sister, Tessie Kolody; and her brothers, Bill Komar and Steve Komar.
She was survived by her sons: Andy Benesh (Lana), Joe Benesh and Bruce Benesh (Angie); her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Bernadine Komar; her brother Mike Komar; her sisters-in-law: Inez Benesh, Dorothy Komar and Lois Komar as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary was born on September 9, 1932, on the family farm south of Dysart, Saskatchewan. On June 30, 1953, she married Alex Benesh. Together they farmed south of Dysart along with their four sons.
Mary found joy in gardening, raising chickens, cooking, baking, playing cards, attending bingo and listening to old-time music, to which she also loved to dance.
In the fall of 2000, Mary and Alex moved from the farm into Dysart. There, she continued to enjoy tending her garden and taking walks with her special friends. She cherished visits from family and friends and was always ready with baked goods on hand.
A funeral Mass will be Celebrated for Mary Saturday June 20, 2026, in St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church at 301 Main Street, Dysart Saskatchewan at 10:00 a.m.
The interment will be in St. Henry’s Cemetery in Kronsberg, Saskatchewan following the service.
After the interment all guests are welcome to rejoin in St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Dysart for a lunch in the church basement.
