It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike on September 9, 2025 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age 58 years old.
Mike was predeceased by his mother Shirley Shavetail. Mike was part of the 60’s scoop, so we never really knew his immediate family. He also had a special cousin who was predeceased, Owen George.
Mike is survived by his wife Sheila Gordon, sons Michael Torrance Jr, Sean Smith, daughters Alisha and Cara Kahnapace. Grandson Keenan and special granddaughter Ariana (Doot Doots). Grandchildren Nicholas, Elyza, Evander, Ethan and Breanna. Stepchildren Bobby Gordon, Joseph Gordon, and Michelle Gordon. Numerous nephews, Nieces and cousins. Numerous slow-pitch families. Special friends Peter, Brad, Devin, and Jeremy, and long-time friend Dino.
Mike was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and papa. He touched the lives of so many with his sincere love of making lasting friendships and memories. Mike loved to play baseball and made many friends throughout his life in the baseball world. He also was a great cook and spent many years working in restaurants as a chef.
Wake Service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 5:00 pm
at the Indigenous Christian Fellowship 3131 Dewdney Avenue Regina, Saskatchewan
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 10:00 am
