Reinda Marie Landry

(nee LAFLAMME)

Reinda passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2015 and is now reunited with her husband Art and infant daughter in Heaven.

Born January 15, 1931 in Black Lake, Quebec, she had ten brothers and sisters: Edwilda (Raoul) Valee, Melodia (Paul) Nadeau, Roland (Noella), Laurianne (Gerard) Marcoux, Arthur (Lucette), Alvin (Aline), Fernand (Colette), Aldei (Lucille), Rosaline (Mike) Litowski and Gerarald (Nicole). She met Arthur Landry and soon after they were married. Dad’s work required a lot of out-of-town travelling. They initially settled in Winnipeg, but later moved to Regina. With Dad still having to work away from home, Mom was the one to raise the boys. In 1969, they purchased a service station- Landry’s Esso Service. Mom and Dad ran the business for over 30 years, and it is still going today! Mom opened a restaurant at the same location and it became well-known in Regina for the little “French Lady” and her unbelievable homemade meals. She was always smiling and laughing, always the happy one.

Mom and Dad eventually retired and travelled throughout Canada and the United States. They lived at the lake, where she would spend her summer days with the grandchildren. Mom would just light up when the grandchildren came over – this lady never tired! She was the glue to this family. She will be missed and always remembered.

Mom was blessed with and will be lovingly remembered by her six boys: Allan and his daughter Jennifer; Steve (Wanda) and their sons Jarrod (Sarah) and Adrian (Jenna); Marc (Lora), and their sons Jordan (Carla), Chloe and Sidney, Michael (Catherine), Caitlyn, David and Julius; Gabriel and his children Jean Claude (Colleen), Yvan, Rene and Maire-Josee; Jacques (Suzanne) and their children, Desiree (Steve Mills), Benjamin and Dominic, Chad Guethert (Meloney) and Travis; and Robert; as well as Debbie Landry.

Prayers will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 13th Avenue, Regina on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.leefunerals.com
